White Knight

White knight - Market jargon for the saviour in a takeover play.

The white knight usually buys a strategic shareholding, preventing an unfriendly predator from acquiring control of the target company.

When we want to make a fresh start, Japanese use the phrase "haku-shi ni modosu (return to the white paper)." Here "haku-shi (white paper)" implies "nothing."

White -

White is associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity.
It is considered to be the color of perfection.
White means safety, purity, and cleanliness.
White usually has a positive connotation.
White can represent a successful beginning.
In heraldry, white depicts faith and purity.

White color can be regarded as either no colour at all or the perfect mixture of all colors united. As a symbol for the yet uncorrupted and unclouded innocence in the ancient paradise or the goal of the human spirit to regain that condition.

Why is the sky Blue?

The sun's rays hit the Earth's atmosphere, where the light is scattered by nitrogen and oxygen molecules in the air. The blue wavelength of this light is affected more than the red and green wavelengths, causing the surrounding air to appear blue. At sunset, the sun's light passes farther through the atmosphere, deflecting and decreasing the blue in the air. Scattering by dust particles and pollution in the air causes the sunset to appear red.

The Colour Blue

Calm and Cool : Blue is calming. It can be strong and steadfast or light and friendly. Almost everyone likes some shade of the color blue.
Nature of Blue: A natural color, from the blue of the sky, blue is a universal color. The cool, calming effect of blue makes time pass more quickly and it can help you sleep. Blue is a good color for bedrooms. However, too much blue could dampen spirits.
Culture of Blue: In many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, brings peace, or is believed to keep the bad spirits away.
Blue conveys importance and confidence without being somber or sinister, hence the blue power suit of the corporate world and the blue uniforms of police officers. Long considered a corporate color, blue, especially darker blue, is associated with intelligence, stability, unity, and conservatism

Ekka Weather Arrives late

The dreaded westerly winds are blowing in; after long days of glorious sunshine during which we had been tricked into thinking winter was over. A few more weeks yet before we pack the doonas away and plan our swimming schedules.

Possible Rain

The sky clouded over and we got all excited; we rushed for our buckets to catch every drop. The we sat on the swing and waited. We drank a refreshing drink and ate Japanese cookies, and waited. That was several hours ago -
